Pittsburgh plastic surgeon Dr. Chiu graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University.  To become a facial plastic surgeon, he underwent years of intensive training and surgical residency.  After successfully completing four years of medical school at the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and five years of residency training in head and neck surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Dr. Chiu moved to Houston, Texas, where he practiced and completed one of the most highly coveted fellowships in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Chiu then passed comprehensive board exams administered by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS), an exam that exclusively certifies surgeons who are already board certified in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery (ABO) or Plastic Surgery (ABPS).  Pittsburgh plastic surgeon Dr. Chiu is one of only 900 plastic surgeons in the world who have attained this level of unique expertise and specialization in facial plastic surgery to attain board certification by the ABFPRS.
