What to Expect
Before administering a Voluma XC injection, Dr. Chiu plans in his mind, with the aid of his unique aesthetic eye, the areas on the face that will receive the injection. Then, he will perform the injections onsite in the desired areas. The entire process generally takes 15 - 30 minutes, and a numbing cream is typically applied for 15 minutes beforethe injections, though not necessary. Patients can expect some mild swelling or discomfort following the injection, but their symptoms usually subsides within the first day, although some people experience some mild pressure or soreness for longer.
